Roeckl Riding Gloves

We love and live for gloves! As a family-run company of glove tailors, we believe that they truly are an accessory that adds quality to life. That is precisely why we have spent over 175 years focusing on what we do best: gloves. The driving force behind our business is our desire to make sure that equestrians have meticulously designed premium products on hand - in the truest sense of the word. After all, the hands are crucial for giving important stimuli and gently handling the reins to ensure delicate yet precise communication between horse and rider. The decisive element for establishing a harmonious bond between human and animal is the right balance between grip and feeling. In order to ensure that our riding gloves fit like a second skin and provide the effective grip and tactility needed for handling the reins, we use high-quality materials such as ROECKL's exclusive ROECK-GRIP®, SUPREMA by ROECKL or MICRO AIR with special cuts. New products developed for disciplines such as dressage, show jumping, eventing and many more are thoroughly tested in close cooperation with our renowned Competence Team, allowing professional equestrians as well as amateur riding enthusiasts to fully benefit from our collective expertise and product developments.

For over 175 years the name ROECKL continues to stand for excellent functionality, an exact fit and outstanding wear comfort. The problem is that comfort cannot be measured. It is the materials, cuts and proportions that make all the difference. That cannot be achieved by science alone. It requires experience. And that is precisely where we can pride ourselves on extensive expertise in the art of glove tailoring, passed down and refined from generation to generation. We always remain true to our guiding principle: "Being innovative by tradition. Preserving what is tried and tested. Improving what is good!" We continually strive to do our best so you can enjoy your riding experience and know your hands are protected.

Hands are our tools. We use them to work, grasp, feel, touch, gesticulate and write. Yet our hands are more than that. Human hands are a highly complex system, a masterpiece of functionality and flexibility that even medical engineering can only replicate to a certain extent. Anatomically speaking, each hand consists of 27 bones, making up one quarter of all the bones in the human body. The perfect synergy with muscles, tendons and nerves results in an incredible range of motion. At the same time, our hands are very vulnerable because the bones, tendons, nerves and blood vessels lie directly beneath the skin's surface and are barely covered by protective layers of muscle and fatty tissue. Only the palm is protected by a robust layer of flat, broad tendons. Furthermore, the skin itself contains numerous receptors. Stimuli produced by pressure, movement or vibration help us understand and master the diverse challenges of the world that lies at our fingertips.

Horseback riding is one of the oldest and most fascinating sports in the world. It requires and fosters a deep sense of trust and an emotional bond between horse and rider. Ideally this relationship is marked by mutual respect and trust. That requires effective communication with the horse. Be it show jumping, dressage or eventing, trail-, endurance- or western-style riding, carriage driving, vaulting or polo - these different equestrian disciplines all have one thing in common: A substantial part of the communication between horse and rider is achieved by gently handling the reins, meaning via the hands. Only they are capable of giving such delicate stimuli. Yet our hands do more than simply receive commands from the brain; they are an important tool for perceiving and understanding the world around us, for thinking and making decisions.

At first glance, gloves do not appear to be a very technical product. But looks can be deceiving! Especially when it comes to horseback riding, they fulfil a wide range of functions: They allow for precise, sensitive handling of the reins, provide a secure grip and protect the hands against wind and adverse weather conditions or in case of a fall. Thanks to their fit and wear comfort, gloves create a comfortable climate for the hands. As glove specialists, we focus on developing the right solutions and materials to satisfy a wide variety of requirements, such as COMFORT CUT or our exclusive materials ROECK-GRIP®, SUPREMA by ROECKL and MICRO AIR, to name just a few. In short: We share your passion for equestrian sports. We work closely with our Competence Team to thoroughly put all our product developments to the test.
