• Anatomically-shaped shell

The shape of the upper and lower shell provides greater freedom of movement at the knee and fetlock. Its anatomical shape guarantees the maximum comfort and perfect positioning on the horse's limb.

• Double density

The shell consists of two distinct parts with different density and rigidity: The main shell, in 54-SHORE TPU, a flexible and extremely strong polyurethane mixture, provides excellent protection against abrasion, deterioration and the multiple stresses caused by the activities of sport horses.

The 54-SHORE TPU maintains its elasto-mechanical properties from –15 °C to +50 °C without variations of rigidity and flexibility. In the back of the tendon boot, corresponding to the flexor tendon, extra protection is provided by an “X” made of 66-SHORE TPU, a more rigid, protective polyurethane mixture containing the carbon section. The two parts are combined during injection in the mold.

• Extra protection for knees

Extension of the polyester-reinforced protection in 13/10 antiwear film in the lower part of the knee. Particularly suitable for horses that tend to strike the area below the knee of the opposite leg with a shoe. Prevents dangerous bruising and abrasions that can occur during workouts or in competition.

• Carbon and Gel protection for the flexor tendon

The special rear carbon “X” (extremely strong, protective, light and shock-absorbing) is internally covered with a 3-mm film of gel with exceptional protective, shock-absorption and comfort features. The carbon represents an impenetrable barrier against any type of dangerous objects, providing absolute protection for the suspensory tendon, a part particularly exposed to being hit by the shoes of the rear limbs. The shock-absorbing properties of the polyurethane gel reduce the transmission of shocks and impacts by 40%.

• Carbon protection for the fetlock

Insertion of a thin carbon plate inside corresponding to the fetlock (a part subject to continuous micro-traumas and shocks).

• Elastic straps

Soft, adjustable elastic straps provide perfect closure on all “sizes” of shin, eliminating all problems caused by too tight a fit or excessive pressure. The special elastomers used in the straps maintain constant tension over time and don't change their elasticity when wet.

• Quick-release tip

Undeformable FLEXTAN tips on a stainless steel clasp allow extremely fast hooking and unhooking, even with just one hand. The closure holes have a narrowing that guarantees a secure hold, avoiding the possibility of accidental unhooking during work or competition. Unlike leather straps whose holes become deformed after a few applications, compromising their functionality and reliability, straps with BLACK VEREDUS LINE tips are guaranteed and tested for 5,000 hooking/unhooking cycles without undergoing any variation. Unlike Velcro straps, which lose their hold over time and become less reliable, straps with BLACK VEREDUS LINE tips are not subject to wear and provide the maximum security and reliability.

It has double fastenings and is anatomically shaped, eliminating rotation and ensuring that it is comfortable for the horse. Can be used on all types of surface.

• DFD is a special highly absorbent fabric able to remove moisture better than any natural or synthetic fibre. The moisture created by the body is rapidly absorbed by the DFD and removed from the skin which stays dry.

• Fetlock protector in polyurethane, to reduce contact wear.

• Velcro straps with elastic support for better comfort and adherence.
